About the Personal Alcohol Licence Course
Under the Licensing Act 2003 in the UK, you are required to have a personal licence if you plan to sell alcohol or authorise others to do so on your behalf.

APLH Course Assessment
After finishing your personal licence course, you will take a 60-minute multiple-choice exam. To pass, you must achieve a score of 28 out of 40, which is 70%. Your course will cover all the essential information you need to successfully pass your exam.

All venues must appoint a designated premises supervisor (DPS) who is responsible for overseeing the proper management of alcohol sales. The DPS must hold a personal licence but is not required to be on the premises at all times.
