Are There Any Entry Requirements for This Course?
The A73 CPCS Traffic Marshal Course is open to everyone, from experienced vehicle marshals seeking a formal qualification to beginners starting out.
However, before attending the course, you must have passed the CITB Health and Safety Test for Operatives within the last 2 years. If you haven’t completed the CITB test recently, don’t worry – simply book our package, which includes the CITB test.
How is this Course Assessed?
During the A73 CPCS Traffic Marshall training, you will take a theory and practical assessment. The theory test is verbal, with a required pass rate of 80% and full marks on mandatory questions. The practical test evaluates your ability to perform essential Traffic Marshall tasks accurately.
After I Pass the Course, Will I Receive a CPCS Traffic Marshal Card?
Yes, once you pass the technical tests, we will apply for your CPCS trained operator card (red card). This card, often called the CPCS Traffic Marshal ticket, is valid for two years and certifies you as a qualified Vehicle Marshaller.
How Can I Progress After Completing this Course?
Once you have your Red CPCS Traffic Marshal Card, you can gain experience on-site and achieve an NVQ Level 2 to upgrade to the CPCS Blue Competent Operator Card. Progression to supervisory or management positions is also possible through the CITB SSSTS or SMSTS courses.
Can I Complete the CPCS Traffic Marshall Course Online?
Due to the practical activities involved, the CPCS Course cannot be completed online. Attendance in person is required, but experienced vehicle marshals can choose a two-day course instead of the full three days.
