The UPPA qualification, or Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment, is a level 3 course that teaches the basics of how assessments work. It is useful for people in education and training who want to improve their knowledge of assessment methods. However, completing UPPA does not mean you can assess learners independently—you would need further qualifications.

AVRA stands for Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement. This is a level 3 assessor qualification that focuses on assessing occupational competence in a learning vocational environment. To complete this course, you will be required to assess the occupational competence of two learners.

ACWE stands for Assessing Competence in the Work Environment. This is a level 3 assessor qualification that focuses on assessing occupational competence in a work environment. To complete this course, you will be required to assess the occupational competence of two learners.

The Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (CET) was previously called CTLLS and is suitable for existing and new teachers wishing to enhance their knowledge and skills. The course is specifically designed to help prepare trainee instructors to teach in a wide range of contexts.

This Course leads to an OFQUAL Regulated Focus Awards Level 5 Certificate in TEFL for successful learners. Qualification Number 603/4150/6 on the OFQUAL Register

The Level 5 Diploma in Teaching teaches the skills and knowledge you need to progress as a teacher in the education and skills sector. This qualification is awarded by TQUK and regulated by OFQUAL. Starting in September 2024, the new Level 5 Diploma in Teaching (FE and Skills) will replace the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (DET) as the standard teaching qualification for the FE and Skills sector.

The Level 4 Certificate for Higher Level Teaching Assistants (RQF) is a recognised qualification that allows you to gain HLTA status. With this qualification, you can apply for HLTA positions in schools across the UK. It is fully regulated by OFQUAL.

The Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools enables you to work in classrooms under a teacher's supervision. It is also ideal for those in pastoral or welfare support, bilingual support, or foundation stage assistant roles.
